Helping Hands Associates are hosting their Annual Gala Dinner at the Hilton International in Glasgow and have chosen to support Maggie's Glasgow, Children's Hospice Association Scotland and Moni Malawi.
The dinner will feature platinum-selling singer-songwriter Darius from Pop Stars and Pop Idol, Clyde 1's Suzie McGuire, BBC Scotland sporting legend Chick Young, award-winning comedian Gary Marshall and top Irish dance troop The Tara Dancers.

We are looking for volunteers to help at Pedal for Scotland on Sunday 11 September. 9,000 cyclists will be taking off from Glasgow Green on a 51 mile cycle to Edinburgh. As the Official Charity for the event we would like to have a good presence at the start be there to support the many riders who are raising sponsorship for Maggie’s. David H Brain Charity Fund Golf Day

Come to the David H Brain Charity Fund Golf Day at Kilmacolm Golf Club, Porterfield Road, on Friday 16 September for a day of golf in support of Maggie's.
The day and price of entry includes green fees, lunch and a two-course dinner after your round served in the club dining room. There's also a range of prizes to be won!

Gleddoch Golf Club are looking fo golfers to take part in the Charity Mixed Open Greensomes for the Sheila Hughes trophy.
The tournament, on Sunday 18 September, runs from 9am to 2pm, followed by a prize giving reception, with raffle and silent auction, between 6pm and 7.30pm.
The entry fee is £20, with all proceeds going to Maggie's, and the handicap limits are 28 for gents and 36 for ladies. Please wear something pink if possible.

We're looking for wrappers to help us again this Christmas. Last year our team of wrappers raised over £10,000 to help Maggie's support people affected by cancer in Glasgow.

The Scribbler's Picnic

Maggie’s Glasgow would like to thank Colin and Chris Reid as well as their families for raising a fantastic £8,000 for Maggie’s Glasgow. The brothers and their families very kindly organised a number of fundraising and awareness raisining events before walking the equivalent height of Everest across Scotlands toughest Munroe’s.

We would like to thank June Lockhart and the ladies of Gleddoch Golf Club for organising a wonderful Jean Armour evening and raising a fantastic £1600 for Maggie’s. Scottish Conservative Leader Annabel Goldie and Journalist Ruth Wishart were the two special guests who gave a fantastic tribute to Jean Armour and a humorous Toast to the Laddies. June paid tribute to all the contributors who gave their time and support to make the event a great success.
Knightswood Ladies Pink Day

Maggie’s would like to thank the ladies of Knightswood Exercise Class who held a fantastic Pink Day to raise awareness of Breast Cancer and raised a fantastic £400 for their local Maggie’s Centres (Glasgow and Gartnavel). After a fantastic and fun filled excerise class from our favourite Ann, the young very talented Knightswood Dance School Students delighted us with a mini music and dance concert. All the ladies were awarded a participation certificate and spent some time chatting over a well earned cuppa.
Hoodie and Woody - 100K Challenge

Maggie’s Glasgow would like to thank Donnie Wood and Andrew Hood who completed a 10k run every day for 10 days at the beginning of October.
The intrepid runners celebrated the end of their challenge with a big party on the 10th /10 2010 and raised a fantastic £2000 for Maggie’s Glasgow.Andy Adams

On Sunday 27 June 2010, 300 joined local hairdresser Andy to celebrate his special birthday and 10 years supporting Maggie's Glasgow. With some fantastic cabaret acts, great food and amazing table prizes Andy's party really was a night of fun and frolics, which generated over £14,000 for the Glasgow centre.
Andy was overwhelmed by the generosity of all his friends and family but paid special tribute to the wonderful support from his friend Lorraine McInnes who was key in helping him organise his big birthday party and his brother Barry Adams, who donated a fantastic Russell Flint print that was won with a £500 bid during his silent auction.
Maggie's would also like to thank centre user Jim McPherson, who kindly donated his time and photographic skills as official event photographer. Jim's photographs are now availiable (in exchange for a small donation) at Andy Adams hair salon, 61 Chancellor St, Glasgow G11 5PR.
Andy and Lorraine have also organised a Tea Party in support of Maggie's, raising a over £1,500. Entertainment was provided by Barbara Bryceland, with photographs from Jim McPherson. Thank you again for your support.GT4 Ltd support Maggie's
