Gift Aiding your donations is a fantastic and very simple way to increase your gift by a quarter – at no cost to you!
So, if you donate £10 and you are eligible for Gift Aid, then your donation could actually be worth £12.50 to us! Every penny really adds up. In fact last year Maggie’s was able to claim an incredible £147,979.11 worth of Gift Aid. This keeps an entire Maggie’s Centre up and running for six months! So we urge that if you do qualify for Gift Aid that you please let us know.

How does Gift Aid work?
Gift Aid is a government run scheme. It allows charities to claim back the tax that you have already paid on your donations for the previous 6 years and on all future donations.
Who qualifies for Gift Aid?
To qualify for Gift Aid, you have to be a UK taxpayer and pay income tax or capital gains tax to the equivalent of level that Maggie’s Centres would be claiming back. For example, if you give a £40 donation and allow Maggie’s Centres to claim Gift Aid, then you must have paid at least £10 in income tax or capital gains tax.
How do you Gift Aid your support?
It’s very easy to Gift Aid your support. If you are completing a donation form simply tick the Gift Aid box. Alternatively you can download and complete the Gift Aid form above.

What information do you need to claim Gift Aid?
For Maggie’s Centres to claim back Gift Aid, we need the following information:
• First initial
• Full surname
• House number or name
• Postcode
• Tick the box that asks if you would like Maggie’s Centres to claim Gift Aid
Unfortunately, if you miss out any one of these, we are unable to collect your Gift Aid.
