Gift Aid and returning cash

Your fundraising can be increased by 25% if your sponsors are eligible and tick the Gift Aid box when donating via your online fundraising page, or on your sponsorship form. 

Simply put, if they donate £40, we can reclaim an extra £10 back in tax at no expense to your or the sponsor.

Match Funding

Ask your company to match your fundraising. This is a great way to double your fundraising. Please remember to tell us if your company is match funding your total so we can keep an eye out for it and add it to your individual or team total. 

Who qualifies for Gift Aid?

To qualify for Gift Aid, you have to be a UK taxpayer and pay income tax or capital gains tax to the equivalent of level that Maggie’s Centres would be claiming back. For example, if you give a £40 donation and allow Maggie’s Centres to claim Gift Aid, then you must have paid at least £10 in income tax or capital gains tax.

How do you Gift Aid your support?

It’s very easy to Gift Aid your support. If you are completing a donation form simply tick the Gift Aid box. Alternatively you can download and complete the Gift Aid form above.

Please return the form to our Supporter Care Team at the address on the bottom of this page.

What information do you need to claim Gift Aid?

For Maggie’s Centres to claim back Gift Aid, we need the following information:

- First initial 
- Full surname
- House number or name 
- Postcode 
- Tick the box that asks if you would like Maggie’s Centres to claim Gift Aid 

Unfortunately, if you miss out any one of these, we are unable to collect your Gift Aid. 

Returning money

Please return all money you raised through sponsorship forms or cash collection by cheque made out to Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres and send to:
