The Glasgow Night Hike - Friday 7 September 2012
We are delighted to announce the Glasgow Night Hike 2012 will take place on Friday 7 September 2012.
Glasgow Night Hike is a 10 mile festival on foot taking you through a unique night-time journey of Glasgow with exclusive access to some of the best and most well loved buildings. The route is currently being confirmed and will be on the website in the new year, however will include a stop at our fabulous Maggie’s Centre. In previous years buildings such as Riverside Museum, The Briggait, Glasgow Art Club, Cottiers, Glasgow University, Gallery of Modern Art and the Botanic Gardens opened their doors to our Night Hikers.
We have decided to move the date of the Glasgow Night Hike back to the Autumn and will take place on Friday 7 September. Starting at 7.30pm, with an opening party to get your feet in the mood, the Glasgow Night Hike will be a fun challenge so get your friends, family and colleagues involved.
Every penny you raise will go towards changing the lives of people affected by cancer. Maggie’s Centres are almost entirely run by voluntary funding. From our buildings and staff to our tea and biscuits! By taking part in the Glasgow Night Hike you will be supporting our aim to have 15 centres across the UK by 2014, extending our network of emotional and practical support to all those who need it.
Registration is just £30 per person but if you get your friends and colleagues together and sign up a team of four or more people you only pay £23 per person!
In recognition of your feedback we have reviewed and reduced the minimum fundraising target for 2012 to just £185 per person. We'll provide you with a fundraising support pack with lots of ideas to help you reach or even smash your fundraising target.

In 2010 over 450 hikers raised an amazing £110,000 in the first ever Glasgow Night Hike. This vital fundraising enables us to fund over 4,000 visits to our centres.
