Volunteer at the London Night Hike
enthusiastic & supportive & encouraging & welcoming & generous & inspirational & satisfying...
Do something different on a Friday night and help support our fabulous Night Hikers!
Night Hike volunteers are an integral and hugely important part of the London Night Hike and we will rely on the support of many fantastic volunteers during the event. Last year we had over 180 volunteers ensuring the event ran smoothly and supporting all the Night Hikers to complete their late-night challenge for people affected by cancer.
What will volunteers do?
Volunteers will be allocated to one of the many partner buildings that the Night Hikers will be visiting along the route. Volunteer roles include:
setting up and branding each building
& setting up and distributing refreshments
& directing and marshalling Night Hikers
& cheering and giving encouragement to the Night Hikers as they arrive and leave each building
& helping to tidy up the building
& handing out medals at the finish lines
Volunteer roles start from 5pm on Friday 21 September and, depending on which building you are helping at, could finish as late as 8am on Saturday 22 September. You can volunteer all night or for as little or as long as you would like.
If you would like to volunteer or would like more information please email LNHAssistant@maggiescentres.org or call 0207 386 3507.
“There was tea, and applause, and massage, and little yellow arrows, and smiles, and water – all at exactly the right time they were needed. The support and encouragement given from volunteers was greatly appreciated!”
