Maggie's Aberdeen supported by Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres, Press & Journal and the Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation
Colin Montgomerie

“Aberdeen is the only city in Scotland without a Maggie’s Centre and I passionately believe in providing people across Grampian with the opportunity to access the unique programme of support and on-site services that Maggie’s can offer.”

Colin Welsh, Appeal Chairman

Welcome to Maggie's Aberdeen

The Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation (EMF) and Maggie’s are involved in an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise £3m to bring a Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre to Foresterhill Hospital, Aberdeen for families affected by cancer across Grampian.

Colin Montgomerie’s foundation, established in memory of his mother Elizabeth who died of cancer, has set up an influential and committed local board to drive forward EMF’s Monty’s Maggie’s Appeal. The board is spearheaded by Appeal Chairman Colin Welsh, CEO of Simmons & Company International.

Maggie’s Aberdeen will be based on the grounds of Foresterhill Hospital and will offer support to anyone with a diagnosis of cancer in the region as well as their family and friends.

The Press & Journal, is supporting the Monty’s Maggie’s Appeal and will be encouraging readers to get involved in whatever way they can to help raise funds for the Appeal.

For more information regarding the Appeal and to find out how to donate, please telephone Valerie Busher on 01224 471294 or email aberdeen@maggiescentres.org.
