Centre Head and Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Maggie's Dundee

Maggie's is the most effective environment for supporting the emotional wellbeing of ordinary people facing the practical, emotional and family demands of cancer.

I worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS for 18 years before joining Maggie’s.  I specialised in working with people juggling the demands of chronic physical health problems such as cancer, diabetes and cystic fibrosis.

    Tracey Curry

    Community Fundraising Co-ordinator, Maggie's Dundee

I started fundraising as a supporter of Maggie's in August 2008 after friends had cause to use the centre. The combination of environment, friendly staff and overall feeling of support and positivity drew me to Maggie's immediately. After two years of fundraising for Maggie's I am delighted to officially join the team and support Maggie's to make a difference for people with a cancer diagnosis.

    Jayne Wilding

    Expressive Writing Facilitator

I have been leading writing groups since 1998, working in many different kinds of settings ranging from one-to-one work in hospitals to writing haiku with groups in gardens. I trained initially as a writing facilitator with Survivors’ Poetry.

Working with words at Maggie’s continues to be a great privilege. My hope is that more and more people will benefit from the writing groups and the incredible support that develops within them.

Writing is powerful and there is something amazing about being there when people find their ‘voice’. It happens when you least expect it and that makes this work very exciting.
