Maggie's Nottingham: Physical model built to visualise how the proposed Centre will look when completed

“Hospitals help you fight for your life, Maggie's help you live your life”

Sir Bob Geldof

Maggie's Nottingham forms part of the Joy of Living campaign: we are working towards raising £3 million for this Centre which will be built at City Hospital campus, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The campaign to build a Maggie’s Centre in Nottingham has got off to a tremendous start, with great support from the many people who want to have a Maggie’s and its programme of cancer support at their hospital.

Around 1.3 million people are served by the Nottingham University Hospital Trust and 4,000 people a year get a diagnosis of cancer.

We’re very fortunate to have Piers Gough of CZWG Architects on board. He has drawn up plans for a unique and uplifting building. Piers was a friend of our founder, Maggie Keswick Jencks, and joins a number of other internationally-acclaimed architects, such as Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid, who have put their inspiration and knowledge into creating a special place that will help people in Nottingham affected by cancer at a time when they need it the most.

To build this new Maggie’s, we need to raise £3 million. We need your support to build Maggie’s Nottingham and to have it open, free of charge, for anyone who needs it.  Please join our campaign and get in touch with Community Fundraiser Emma Critchley on 0115 871 8693 or e-mail emma@maggiescentres.org.
