Scottish and Southern Energy is more than just an energy company. It serves customers from 150 sites around the country and is one of the largest energy companies in the UK.
It is involved in the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity; energy trading; the storage, distribution and supply of gas; electrical and utility contracting; and telecoms.
SSE sponsored Maggie's first Monster Bike & Hike for £75,000 and has continued to support the event by encouraging its staff to participate in it and other Maggie's events year after year.
It has also sponsored three community fundraiser posts and has made a commitment to do so for three years; these posts operate out of the Highlands, Oxford and Swansea, which are key locations for SSE.
