Leg Hammering, Heart Pounding, Breath Catching…..If you think you're ready for a challenge, to have fun and take on the best charity adventure challenge in the Scottish Highlands, then Monster Bike and Hike is the one for you!

What is Maggie's Monster Bike & Hike?

Maggie’s Monster Bike & Hike is now in its 6th year and is a 24-hour fundraising team challenge.  The event goes from Fort William through to Inverness covering 73 miles along the Great Glen Way.

Teams of men, women, colleagues, friends and families are all invited to take part.  Teams must be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 and all participants must be over 18 years of age.

Teams will bike 30 miles and can then choose to hike 8 miles to our Bronze finish, 22 miles to our Silver finish or go the whole way and walk 43 miles to our Gold finish!

Maggie’s staff will be on hand throughout the event to provide a smile and support to those taking on the challenge.

Registration costs £100 per participant and can be paid online or by sending us a cheque (payable to Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres).

Why fundraise for Maggie's?

The fundraising target for Monster Bike & Hike 2009 is £400 per participant and we have based this on what participants have raised in previous years.

Maggie’s provides support to anyone affected by any type of cancer, be they a patient, family member or friend. We provide a free programme of information, psychological support and anxiety reduction to complement medical treatment received at adjacent NHS hospitals. Every penny raised will go straight towards supporting those families, friends and carers who have been touched by cancer in your community.  

We are here at all stages to help you with advice on training and fundraising so get in touch!
