Monster 2009 Event Film
The Monster 2009 film can now be viewed or downloaded. This is a high-quality version of the 13 minute film that you can either watch on our Maggie's channel on YouTube or download and keep.
We hope the film brings back fond memories for all participants and support teams. If you took part in Monster 2009, please send the link on to all who those supported you – they can see the real efforts you made to raise money for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres. Monster 2009 has already raised more than £415,000 – enough to run one centre for a year and a half! An amazing achievement – well done. You can still check out your 2009 finish time here.
If this film has made you want to take part in Monster 2010, please download our 2010 Registration form.
What is Maggie's Monster Bike and Hike?
Maggie’s Monster Bike and Hike 2010 will be the event's seventh year. It is a 24-hour fundraising team challenge. The event goes from Fort William through to Inverness covering 73 miles along the Great Glen Way.
Teams of men, women, colleagues, friends and families are all invited to take part. Teams must be a minimum of two and a maximum of six and all participants must be over 18 years of age.
Teams will bike 30 miles and can then choose to hike eight miles to our Bronze finish, 22 miles to our Silver finish or go the whole way and walk 43 miles to our Gold finish!
Maggie’s staff will be on hand throughout the event to provide a smile and support to those taking on the challenge.
So why not get your team together and get registered – it’ll be the highlight of your social calendar in 2010!
Why fundraise for Maggie's?
We ask that each participant commit to raising a minimum of £400 when they take part in Monster. We know that this is an achievable commitment from past participants, and we will help you every step of the way with fundraising advice, hints and tips.
Maggie’s provides support to anyone affected by any type of cancer, be they a patient, family member or friend. We provide a free programme of information, psychological support and anxiety reduction to complement medical treatment received at adjacent NHS hospitals. Every penny raised will go straight towards supporting those families, friends and carers who have been touched by cancer in your community.
We are here at all stages to help you with advice on training and fundraising so get in touch!
We look forward to seeing you on route in May!
