Could you be a Maggie's event volunteer?
It's not just the people taking part in our events who are helping those affected by cancer - YOU can too!
We hold many different fundraising events during the year and are always looking for volunteers to help us out either as marshals, helping to hand out tea, or being part of the cheering squad.
We ensure that all our event participants really enjoy Maggie's events and feel 100% supported and looked after at all times. Our volunteers are a vital part in making this happen and have important roles to play in the success of our events.
By volunteering for Maggie's you will meet new friends, learn new skills, use exisiting skills, and be part of the Maggie's team. By donating your time and energy you you will be directly helping us to help those facing a life beyond cancer.

Pedal for Scotland - 12 September 2010
Pedal for Scotland is the biggest and fastest growing cycling event in Scotland. It is a cycle ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh, taking participants on a scenic tour of the back roads and cycle paths between Scotland’s two major cities.
Maggie’s is delighted to be the charity partner again in 2010.
We raised more than £225,000 in 2009 - an amazing achievement - and we are aiming high again in 2010.
Maggie’s will be supporting the event by providing 50 enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to help on Sunday 12 September in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
We have three shifts available in both Glasgow adn Edinburgh. They are 6am-12.30pm, 12pm-5pm and 4.30pm-7.30pm. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Claire Devlin on 0141 3415670 or claire.devlin@maggiescentres.org
