Acclaimed artist Rob Ryan designs Christmas card for Maggie's Centres
Rob Ryan, the artist who has illustrated book and album covers, including John Connolly’s novel The Book of Lost Things and Erasure’s album Nightbird, has designed a special Christmas card for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
Laura Lee, CEO of Maggie’s said: “Rob Ryan’s work is quirky and joyful and this card mirrors what Maggie’s want to offer to people living with cancer - faith and hope. We were delighted when Rob agreed to design one of his intricate paper cuts for us and even more delighted with the outcome. The cards are designed to be sent to someone very special or kept and framed for yourself.”
Rob Ryan said: “Maggie’s gives help and it gives hope, and if through my work I can do either or both then I will.”
Rob Ryan has supported Maggie’s in the past, having posed in Maggie’s range of Hope and Joy t-shirts, which were designed by in-vogue designers Dandy Star. Mary McCartney photographed Rob and his wife in the t-shirts, alongside various other Maggie’s supporters, including, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Amanda Holden and Jasmine Guinness.
Telephone our Supporter Care Team on 03001231801 (lowcost) to buy the cards or visit your nearest Maggie's Centre.
Each individual card costs £2.50 or a pack of five costs £10. All proceeds go to Maggie’s.
