Celebrities give support to Maggie's Challenge Events
Maggie's are delighted to announce that TV presenters Anneka Rice and Sarra Elgan are lending their support to Maggie's Challenge Events.

Anneka visited Maggie's London Centre on 8th July to find out about the support Maggie's offer to anyone affected by any type of cancer and decided she wanted to help.
As a result Anneka is hoping to get a group of friends together to do the London Night Hike, but she is also very keen to help promote Maggie's Bike & Hike in Wales. With Anneka's background from the hit television program 'Challenge Anneka' she appreciates what a tough and rewarding challenge the Mighty Bike & Hike will be in a stunning part of the world.
Maggie's are delighted to have Anneka's support and are positive that her enthusiasm and passion will help to get people involved in our events.
Anneka said: "I recently visited Maggie’s London Centre and I was blown away by what the centre has to offer people living with cancer" said Anneka. "It is not just for people that have cancer, but also for their family and friends, people who also need support. I was really inspired by what I saw and was thrilled to back this great new event in Wales, where I was born.
"I am no stranger to challenges. I enjoy rising to them and making a difference by meeting targets and helping others. When I did the show 'Challenge Anneka' I faced many enjoyable and rewarding challenges for charity. Challenges can bring out the best in people. And the Mighty Bike & Hike is a great way to challenge yourself AND provide much needed support to people facing the toughest challenge of their lives: cancer."
Welsh TV presenter Sarra Elgan is throwing her support behind Maggie's South Wales centre and the Mighty Bike & Hike. Sarra is known for her bubbly personality and for presenting 100% Rugby and Ceri Greu in Wales, as well as being the Welsh correspondent for Blue Peter.
Sarra said: "Maggie’s Centre offers invaluable support to the thousands of people in Wales facing cancer, as well as to their close friends and family. It is so important that we all do as much as we can to help raise money so that Maggie’s can build a centre in South West Wales, we can start by signing up to Mighty Bike & Hike. Mighty Bike & Hike is a fantastic event that will help Maggie’s to support more people in Wales by providing appropriate advice and a shoulder to lean on in a comfortable environment, helping people to build a life beyond cancer. Mighty Bike & Hike will be a truly enjoyable and inspirational way to spend the weekend, getting fit with friends and family in a stunning part of Wales. I cannot explain how great a cause this is, if you can help in anyway please try and get involved."
