James Bond in A Quantum Of Solace - Glasgow Gala Screening

An Aston Martin, red carpet, champagne reception and Martini cocktails - shaken not stirred of course. It could only mean one thing, the gala screening of the new Bond film in aid of Maggie's.

Maggie's were lucky to benefit from the Glasgow Charity Gala Screening of the new James Bond film - A Quantum Of Solace, at Cineworld in Glasgow last week.

It was a glamour filled night with guests including Angus Purden and the People's Postcode Lottery girls, Carmen Pieraccini and Jenny Ryan from Dear Green Place, Bridget and Jack McConnell, Christian and Kirsty Dailly, Archie Forrest and corporate supporters from Dundas and Wilson and Ryden.

Guests enjoyed a champagne reception in the Cineworld Bar before making their way to the screening for Bond at his best. Afterwards it was Martini cocktails and a chance to discuss the thrills, spills and kills that happened in the film.

Maggie's would like to thank the Glasgow Herald, Cineworld, Inverarity and Soho for making the evening such a success with over £12,000 raised from ticket sales, a raffle and an auction.

The highlight of the auction was a handwritten note from Daniel Craig apologising for not being able to make the night, sparking a series of furious bids among the ladies in the audience.

Thanks to everyone that came along for an action packed and extremely enjoyable night.
