Coutts Products and Services team hunt for treasure for Maggie's

Even crowds at Harry Potter premiere fail to deter treasure hunting teams from completing their cryptic challenge for Maggie's

More than 80 staff took part in a fun-filled night that raised £1,000 for Maggie's, the Coutts Products & Services charity of the year.

The 14 teams of six were tasked with solving a series of cryptic clues that led them to six different pubs, with three clues to be found en route and three more to be solved at each venue.

Their routes took them close to Leicester and Trafalgar Squares – where a clash of dates with the final Harry Potter premiere meant the streets were thronged with massive crowds… so they had to work extra hard to complete all their tasks (which included two bonus ‘picture quiz’ rounds) within the two-and-a-half hour time limit.

All the teams met up at the same final pub for a buffet, drinks and prize giving. Winning honours went to the ‘Ding Dong Potatoes’ from Marketing and Communications, led by Jenny Clarke with team-mates Michelle Jones, Nicola Bushell, Sam Jones, Derek Moore and Simon Clark who each took home a bottle of bubbly.

The event, on 7 July, was organised by Jayne Tilson and Warren Davis from the Specialist Credit team.

Warren said: “It was a great night and we were really pleased to have raised an extra £1,000, which takes the total raised for Maggie’s by Coutts Products and Services to an amazing £28,000 in just 12 months.”

He added: “Special mention must to go to the support team who devoted considerable amounts of their personal time to helping with the organisation; this comprised Howard Borley from the Avaloq team, Christine Gardner and Karen Lang from Credit and Market Risk, and Paul Banbury from Specialist Credit.”

Coutts' fantastic support has helped Maggie's offer the provision of benefits advice on the Online Centre.
