Stewart Milne Homes gets set to support Maggie's
Staff at Stewart Milne Homes in Scotland are calling on their local communities as they get set to launch a fundraising campaign in aid of the company’s charity of the year, Maggie’s.
The team at Stewart Milne are currently discussing what fundraising activities they can take on to get their communities involved and they are keen for everyone in Scotland to get involved with ideas and suggestions, whether it be a village-wide bake-off or even a slave auction of local husbands!
John Slater, group managing director for Stewart Milne Homes, said: “The company’s charity of the year is selected by staff, which work together to establish and lead the campaign throughout the year.
“With cancer affecting one in three people, it is an issue close to many hearts. The work of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres is truly outstanding, recognising that living with cancer is a challenge faced not only by the patient, and providing all manner of help and support – no matter how small – to those that need it.
“We are delighted to get involved with such a worthwhile cause and, with the help of the local community, hope to really make a difference to the charity and have some fun at the same time.”
Gemma McDonald, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Maggie's said: “Stewart Milne Group are going to provide fantastic support to our network of cancer caring centres across the UK. Each of their offices are showing great enthusiasm and have already got a calendar of events and activities planned to boost our fundraising. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Stewart Milne Group and their employees for choosing to support Maggie’s, it is going to be a fantastic partnership.”
