This is a one day only event where the Hibs and Hearts fans will be coming out to play football and at the same time raise money for Maggie’s.

The players have had their strips sponsored by SBS Live (Small Business Specialist IT Support) and will be donning the strips and walking out of the tunnel on Sunday 30th March at Tynecastle Stadium, Kick off 2.00pm. And you can come along and see the fans giving it their all – just like their heroes in the premier league do every week and all for only £5.00 Adult/ £3.00 concession.

To purchase tickets for the game supporters can purchase on the day or through the Edinburgh Charity Game Website www.edinburghcharitygame.org.

Both teams have been training like professionals over the last few months to get them all in tip top shape for the big game with a lot at stake going in to the third year of the competition with both winning the charity cup once each.

Scott Moncrieff one of the organisers from the Edinburgh Charity Game says “We are really hoping to raise a lot of money for Maggie's after last year raising over £13,000 for Simpsons Special Care Babies we hope to raise even more this year!”

“Each year we choose a different local charity and after visiting the Maggie's Centre myself and seeing first hand the work they do to help people living with cancer it was decided this was the charity we wanted to support in our third year.”

Fundraising Co-ordinator for Maggie's Edinburgh, Marion Taylor said: “This is a fantastic fundraising opportunity for Maggie's and I want to thank the Edinburgh Charity Game for all their hard work going into organizing the football match.

“This should be a fantastic fun day for all the family and I hope the public will come along and show there support in Maggie's and the Edinburgh Charity Game at Tynecastle. At Maggie's we rely on public donations and, therefore, fundraising events like this help us support the 18,000 visitors we have a year who come through the doors at the Edinburgh Centre.

“If you would like to get involved in fundraising for Maggie's please don't hesitate to get in touch with myself on 0131 537 3135.”
