Fabulous Costume Ball in support of Maggie’s Manchester!
Following its huge success last year The Lowry Hotel in association with Maggie's Manchester is once again generously hosting a unique costume ball at the hotel on Saturday 10th March from 7pm. Supported by media partner Didsbury Magazine, the amazing event recreates a true historic occasion in 1828 when the generous wealthy people of Manchester attended an extravagant ball to raise money for charity. With wonderful costumes, a red carpet and Footmen to greet guests, a court jester, delicious food and drinks together with traditional music & dancing it will definitely be a night to remember!
The event is supported by the Royal Exchange’s costume hire department, which rents out costumes from 40 years of productions. Its costumes cover all periods, from the Romans to the 1950s, with an extensive range of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian outfits.
A reduced rate is being offered of £45 for hire of the costume, which includes all accessories, everything from boots to hats. Take a look at the Royal Exchange website for more details.
Thanks to the Royal Exchange, those attending can dress up in clothes inspired by Victoria, Poldark, Downton Abbey – or even Ben Hur.
