The National Garden Scheme (NGS) and Maggie’s have just joined forces as a result of a shared understanding that gardens have an amazing, positive effect on health and well being.
Approximately 3,700 gardens are opened every year to the public letting the owners share their passion. The partnership promotes access to an abundance of stunning gardens all across the UK while raising money for Maggie’s Centres through entry fees, teas and slices of cake.
NGS will support Maggie’s in 2018 to raise income of £120,000 as part of their Gardens and Health programme. This will fund an acoustic wall in the Swansea Centre garden to allow visitors to utilise the outside area, the rooftop gardens in the new Leeds Centre and garden maintenance throughout our England and Wales Centres.
