We are delighted to be part of RHS Tatton Flower Show between 22-26 July with Maggie’s Water Garden. The beautiful show garden has been designed by Amanda Waring and Laura Arison and is sponsored by homes4u, in celebration of their 25th anniversary.
Amanda and Laura joined forces to design their first show garden for Maggie’s at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park in 2014, winning the RHS Gold medal and Best in Show.
This year’s garden has been designed with Maggie’s Centres in mind, providing a garden to meet the emotional, psychological, social and practical needs of the people affected by cancer who visit our Centres. The design focuses on factors that support human health and wellbeing, providing a place to sit, relax and reflect.
Gardens are an integral part of every Maggie’s Centre with each garden carefully created to be a welcoming extension of the inside space, offering uplifting views out from the Centre and a connection to the changing seasons.
When the RHS Tatton Flower Show is finished the garden will be immediately transported to Maggie’s Merseyside at Clatterbridge, in the grounds of The Clatterbridge Hospital, to provide visitors to the Centre with a beautiful tranquil garden to enjoy for years to come.
A garden provides a space for wellbeing and connection to nature, we cannot think of a better charity to support than Maggie’s who empower, encourage and sustain.
Gold medal winners Amanda Waring and Laura Arison
A Maggie’s Kitchen Table, inspired by the kitchen tables at the heart of every Maggie’s Centre, will sit alongside the garden. It is a space for visitors to the show to come and find out a bit more about the support we’ll provide when our new Centre, Maggie's at The Christie, opens in Manchester.
Owner and Managing Director of homes4u Carolyn Mellor is proud to be on the board of Maggie’s, a charity close to her heart.
In our anniversary year it’s wonderful for our business to be involved with Maggie’s in the north west. Maggie’s is a charity which is close to me both on a personal level and location-wise we are very near the planned new Centre, Maggie’s at the Christie. I welcome the opportunity to give back something to this community, which has supported homes4u over the past 25 years.

We’re delighted that by 2016 Greater Manchester will have two Maggie’s Centres – at The Christie and in Oldham. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming people to our kitchen table at the RHS to find out more about Maggie’s – hope to see you there.
