Endocrine cancers

The endocrine  (hormone) system consists of a network of glands which produce and control hormones in the body. These include: the pituitary gland, the thyroid and adrenal glands.

This section contains information about endocrine tumours. It will help you to find information on:

  • How they are diagnosed.
  • What causes endocrine tumours.
  • Treatment you may receive.
  • What happens after treatment.
  • General information and support that is available for people affected by cancers of the endocrine system.

If you have been affected by cancer in some way and would like to talk to someone about what you have read or need help finding information - you are welcome to drop into any Maggie’s Centre or to visit Maggie’s Online Centre and talk with a cancer support specialist.
