Many people enjoy using creative therapies, including music, art, writing, poetry, gardening, etc. These can help to manage the emotional and psychological side effects that often accompany a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Research has shown that creative arts therapies can help to reduce anxiety, depression, and pain and improve the quality of life for people living with cancer.
Maggie's programme of support includes creative writing and expressive art, and some of our centres also offer gardening therapy. Please contact your local Maggie’s Centre to find out more.
