Exercise for people with cancer

Exercise

Maggie’s Centres offer a range of exercise options, including yoga, tai chi and walking groups.

All sessions are tailored to people with cancer and are flexible to suit your own needs. They can also provide a chance to talk to people going through a similar experience to you.

Evidence shows that exercise offers many benefits, from reducing fatigue and improving your wellness and physical fitness, to building your confidence during and after cancer treatment.

Would you like to get active with Maggie’s? Please contact your local Centre to find out about the exercise options offered. You can find your nearest Maggie’s Centre using the search tool below.

If you’re looking to meet other people living with cancer you could also visit our Online Centre, which offers the same supportive community and practical, emotional and social support as you’ll find in all our Centres.

"Without Maggie's my life would have been bleak and black. Maggie's has taught me that exercise and nutrition are important. I have taken up walking, cycling and other physical activities that are part of the Maggie's programme."
