Information about cancer from our expert staff
Concerned about cancer?
If you're concerned about cancer you can drop into Maggie's and speak to a Cancer Support Specialist at any time. Our professional qualified staff are there to listen to your concerns and guide you to the information you need.
Getting started with cancer treatment
Getting Started is a course for anyone recently diagnosed with cancer, and their family and friends. The workshops will help you to understand cancer and its treatment – as well as potential side effects, how you can take control of them and general wellbeing.
It can help you to take an active role in your treatment and recovery – and it’s a way to ask questions and share experiences with other people going through the same thing.
You can drop into Maggie’s at any time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Or to book a place on a ‘Getting Started course’ please contact your local Centre. You can find your nearest Maggie’s Centre using the search tool below.
Maggie’s Cancerlinks
Maggie’s CancerLinks is a site that helps people to navigate the maze of information available and find their way to quality information about cancer and support before, during and after treatment.
Maggie’s Online Centre
You can also find information and support online. Our Online Centre offers the same supportive community and practical, emotional and social support as you’ll find in all our Centres.
