Getting Started with Cancer Treatment

Getting Started with Cancer Treatment is a workshop for anyone recently diagnosed with cancer and their family and friends.

The workshop will help you understand cancer and the treatments available, as well as potential side effects, how to manage them and how to look after yourself.

Getting Started with Cancer Treatment can help you take an active role in your treatment and recovery, and give you a chance to ask questions and share your experiences with people who understand what you’re going through.

Would you like to attend this workshop? Please contact your local Centre to book your place. You can find your nearest Maggie’s Centre using the search tool below.

You can also find information and support online. Our Online Centre offers the same supportive community and practical, emotional and social support as you’ll find in all our Centres.

"The emotional trauma of cancer can be just as difficult as the physical effect. Maggie's Centres help in a way that is a natural extension of our clinical work. For our cancer patients what Maggie's does is vital"
Prof. Bob Leonard, Chief of Service Medical Oncology
