Annual Kingham Duck Race

Prepare to witness 100 yellow rubber ducks floating down the river, in the beautiful setting of the Cotswolds – what a sight!

On Monday 17 April, the Burford and Kingham Rotary Club will be holding their annual Duck Race.

For £2, you can sponsor a duck, and enter one of the different race rounds. If your duck is the speediest of them all in one of the rounds, you'll win a £10 prize.

It doesn't stop there – you'll also be able to enter the final competition, and check whether your chosen duck is worthy of its winning title when competing in the elite final flock! Exepct to win an additional £100 should your duck prove unbeatable...

Time: 11.30am to 3pm
Location: The Mill Hotel, Kingham

Alongside the duck race, there will also be a bouncy castle, games and refreshments for visitors to enjoy.

The event is free to enter and tickets to sponsor ducks can be bought at the event or in advance from the Mill House, The Wild Rabbit pubs and the Kingham Village Stores.

Profits will go to Maggie's Oxford and other local charities.

Your support means so much to the people affected by cancer who come to our Centres each day. It costs £590,000 a year to keep a Maggie's Centre open, and the money you raise will help your Maggie's Centre continue to provide emotional, practical and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.
