Joe and Amie ride for Maggie's

Joe and Amie LucasJoe Lucas and his wife Amie proudly joined Maggie’s Cycling team at the RideLondon-Surrey 100. In the build up to the event, Joe had no less than six bikes stolen from his home in Cardiff but this didn’t stop him clocking up 2000 miles in training!

“On the day of the ride, we were up at 4.30am in order to get to the start and left our nine month old baby with grandparents. I’m from South Wales where we have plenty of rain but I have never seen rain like we had that morning. I loved every moment of it though. I am very proud of all the training I did and the money I raised for Maggie’s.”

How your money helps

Your support means so much to the people affected by cancer who come to our Centres each day. It costs £590,000 a year to keep a Maggie's Centre open, and the money you raise will help your Maggie's Centre continue to provide emotional, practical and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.
