Ian's story

Ian is taking on the London Marathon 2019 for Maggie’s as he has had first-hand experience of cancer.

“Cancer treatment is like a marathon but Maggie’s was there for me for the whole 12-month period. The staff were amazing and helped me with psychological support, financial advice and even creative writing. Now that my cancer is under control, I’d like to give something back while I can”

How your money helps

Your support means so much to the people affected by cancer who come to our Centres each day. It costs £590,000 a year to keep a Maggie's Centre open, and the money you raise will help your Maggie's Centre continue to provide emotional, practical and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.
