Run by a qualified dietician and nutritionist, this workshop will give the the opportunity to hear up to date, evidence based advice and ask the expert specific questions.

Art Therapy is a form of Psychotherapy that uses art materials as its main mode of expression and communication. Expressive art is a way to explore your feelings in a non-judgemental space, particularly those that can be difficult to put into  words, with no skill or experience required.

Concentrating on creating art can help slow down, relax and process your thoughts. Your unconscious mind can express feelings through pictures, colour and shapes that you might struggle to put into words. By doing that you may begin to understand more of what you’re feeling, which can help to build your confidence.

Finding out that you or a loved one has cancer affects people in many different ways. Some find it difficult to express in words the many complicated feelings that come with a diagnosis of cancer. This is where the Expressive Art group comes in: sometimes it can be easier to express yourself visually rather than verbally.

Where Now?  a 7-week course for anyone who has finished their cancer treatment, and their cancer is in remission. It offers skills and techniques to support you through this transition period and beyond.

Where Now? helps you manage the physical, emotional and practical issues you may face after your treatment has finished, through a series of group sessions. Each session is led by a Cancer Support Specialist or Clinical Psychologist and Healthcare Professionals and offers you the chance to explore key issues and concerns alongside other people in a similar situation.

Each week there is a 45 minute Exercise class, followed by an hours talk  and then a shared snack, provided by Maggie's.

If you're about to start, or have recently started Radiotherapy this workshop is for you.

Come along, carers welcome too, to ask additional questions, learn more about Radiotherapy and how to manage side effects, whilst  networking with others going through treatment.

Practical relaxation exercises to help manage stress and improve wellbeing.

These sessions are designed to help you find some peace and calmness. A psychologist or cancer support specialist will guide you throught the process of relaxing your muscles one by one and letting tension ebb away, through deep breathing exercisese and visualisation.

There is also the opportunity before and after the session to enjoy a coffee/tea at the kitchen table.

Qi Gong is a type of health exercise, practised for centuries by millions of Chinese people.

It's based on repetitions of precise sets of movements, designed to promote the movement of Qi (energy) in the body. A key point in Qi Gong practice is relaxation and deep breathing, both of which are necessary to allow Qi to flow.

Qi Gong is easy to learn and enjoyable to do, and even a few minutes of practise can have an invigorating and rejuvenating effect.

All the sessions are tailored to people with cancer and are flexible to suit your own needs, so you only need to do what feels comfortable.

If you want to take part wear the sort of clothing that allows plenty of unrestricted movement.

This is a drop-in group session, so there's no need to book in advance.

A weekly walking group tailored for people affected by cancer and flexible to suit your own needs.

All our walks are facilitated by experienced walk leaders, and everyone is invited to Maggie’s for refreshments before and following the walk.

We only do gentle walking, and tailor each walk to suit whoever joins us. So there's no need to feel that it's going to be difficult – just come along and have a go!

Yoga is a gentle form of exercise and is great for maintaining flexible joints and increasing balance and strength.

Yoga is for everyone. The classes are relaxed and varied with an emphasis on breathing deeply, moving and having fun.
