Sam Holliday

Centre Head

I am responsible for the day to day running of the centre and it's my job to welcome people looking for support.

Within Maggie’s the opportunity to provide ongoing practical psychological and emotional support to anyone affected by a cancer in the calm relaxed environment of such a wonderful building is incredible.

Previously I was the lead urology/oncology nurse specialist within the local trust for 8 years. This role gave an insight into the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on people's lives.

Working at Maggie’s is an exciting opportunity to engage and support visitors in a practical way and the centre here in Cardiff will provide ongoing support in a non-clinical setting but supported by a team of professionals.

Rachael Davies

Centre Fundraising Manager

My role is to raise income to cover the centre's running costs and to support people with their fundraising events.

I work with groups, businesses and individuals across south east Wales as they take on fundraising activities from marathons to bake sales and everything inbetween. I also work on raising awareness of the centre and the support on offer here.

No two days are the same in fundraising, I meet so many different people from all walks of life who all have the same aim – to support a cause close to their hearts. The best thing about being a fundraiser is working with fun, committed and loyal volunteers, colleagues and supporters.
