Bob was first introduced to Maggie’s London approximately a year and a half ago, not quite knowing how to deal with his prognosis or what to expect from Maggie’s as he walked through the door.
At the time of his prognosis he chose to continue with his 6 week treatment in London despite his move to Gloucester in order to ensure support for himself and family. During this time he visited Maggie’s every day and recalls how he found his sanctuary in Maggie’s whilst joining the choir.
He was relieved to discover there was a Maggie’s in Cheltenham following his treatment in London. Once again he found it to be a home from home, a place to feel safe supported and surrounded by people who understood what he was facing.
Since Bob ‘s initial visit to Maggie’s , Bob has discovered the joy of art, yoga, Nordic walking and mindfulness, taking more out of life with like-minded people living with cancer.
