Sue first heard of Maggie’s after having been in hospital with cancer in 2016.
Although she didn’t use Maggie’s at the time, knowing the centre was there just incase made her feel grateful and gave her hope. She wanted to give something back but at the time wasn’t able to participate in any strenuous activities.
Also during this time, Sue sadly lost her uncle to Leukaemia and her aunt used Maggie’s for support, making Sue even more determined to raise funds for Maggie’s.
Having looked at the ideas available at the time, Sue came up with the idea of a Facebook selling page , selling donated unwanted items to raise funds for Maggie’s.
Since then, Sue has raised over £5,000 to date and is determined to keep selling and raising much needed funds. Thank you Sue!
