Kids' Day are an important addition to our regular programme. Our next Kids' Day will be held on Saturday 11 March.
We understand how difficult it is to cope with seeing a loved one undergo treatment for cancer and realise that it can be particularly hard on children. Kids’ days are for children aged between 5 and 12 years old who have a parent, carer or close family relative who is having cancer treatment.
Our expert, professional team will facilitate the day, aiming to normalise cancer treatment and provide an informal, fun environment for the group to ask any questions.
The day will include a VIP tour of the Radiotherapy department in the Beatson with the opportunity for the children to see parts of the department that patients don’t see!
We then come back to the Centre for some fun, lunch and an art session. Feedback from the day is always so positive with many of the children not wanting to leave at the end of the session. The day runs from 10am-2pm.
