On Friday 29 September, Maggie's Culture Crawl is returning to Liverpool.
It's £20 to register and we ask you to try and raise £80 for our Centre.
You’ll enjoy a behind-the-scenes experience of Liverpool's most iconic venues – including the Victoria Museum and Gallery, the bombed out church, FACT and the Museum of Liverpool. At each venue you’ll be treated to captivating cultural performances such as fantastic live music, spectacular arts and mouth-watering food.
Don’t just take our word for it though, Alice Foster took part last year and said of the event:
I had such a happy feeling when I walked through the doors at the Everyman with Rachel and Rich. I couldn’t have done it without them! Having had surgery and radiotherapy for breast cancer earlier in the year meant I just didn’t have the energy I would normally have had. And I felt it.
The next few days were write-offs as I recovered from the walk but I knew even then that I would do the Culture Crawl again in 2017.
It’s over a year since treatment finished but I still have appointments at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, which means I can pop into Maggie's and see everyone again. It always feels welcoming and homely. There is nowhere like it and I know that whatever I manage to raise this year, will let Maggie's help someone else who needs them.
The medal from last year hangs on my fridge door, and every day it reminds me how lucky I have been to have had a friend like Maggie's.
