Our new chair-based exercise class can help you to keep active in a way that is safe, accessible and enjoyable. We will teach you how to stay active from the comfort of your own chair. You can take this knowledge and practice at home, whilst watching television or reading the newspaper. Some people find that exercise helps to ease the side effects of cancer treatment.

All sessions are tailored for people with cancer and are flexible to suit individual needs. It is also a great way to meet others who are going through a similar experience to you.

If you are interested in taking part, please drop-in or call 0151 334 4301 to book your place.

Pre book

If you have recently finished treatment and are struggling to come to terms with your diagnosis of cancer, our Where Now? course may be of interest to you. The aim of the course is to improve the ability to manage your life post treatment. A different topic is discussed over the course of the seven week programme.

Running since October 2014, Where Now? looks at the physical, emotional and practical issues that people face when their cancer treatment is over. Comments from previous participants include, "I'm pleased I took the time for myself to do the course over the last weeks" and "I learnt I am emotionally stronger than I thought"

Where Now? is a series of group sessions, each lasting around three hours; each session covers a specific topic and is presented by an expert in the area to help discuss personal goals in relation to the topic for each attendee.

Topics covered include,

  • Exercise post treatment
  • Healthy eating
  • Emotional well being
  • Partnering with your medical team
  • Managing post treatment challenges
  • Keeping up momentum.

If you are interested in taking part in Where Now? give us a ring on 0151 334 4301 or call into our Centre for further details.

Pre book

Expressive art is a way to explore your feelings – particularly those which can be difficult to put into words – with no skill or experience required.

Concentrating on creating art can help you slow down, relax and process your thoughts. Your unconscious mind can express feelings through pictures, colours and shapes that you might struggle to put into words. And by doing that you may begin to understand more what you’re feeling, which can help to build your confidence.
