Our yoga sessions offer the opportunity for gentle restorative exercise and stretching to help build general fitness and resilience. No previous experience is necessary and equipment is provided.

You will be registered for a three month course of weekly classes, followed by a catch-up with a Cancer Support Specialist to support you in continuing yoga beyond Maggie's. 

Wear casual comfy clothing.

This support group is available for people affected by a brain tumour before, during or after treatment.

The group offers an opportunity to talk to other people who are in a similar situation to you, and to share experiences. It is safe space to express emotions you might not want to share with your friends and family. You might learn from those a little way ahead of you in their journey and develop your own strategies for coping.

Support Groups are led by a cancer support specialist and focus on the emotional impact of cancer.

Look Good Feel Better is a one-off course that teaches women with cancer how to manage some of the visible side-effects of treatment.

Run by beauty professionals, the session introduces some simple techniques that can help you feel more confident about your changed appearance.

Mindfulness is increasingly used in healthcare as an effective mind-body based approach to help people manage physical and psychological challenges. Many research studies suggest that people who have learnt to practice mindfulness discover that their wellbeing improves, they have greater management of their emotions and a better quality of life.

This Mindfulness course is only available once you have completed the Introduction to Mindfulness course.

Cancer affects more than just your health. There are also financial implications, such as lost income and increased costs for things like heating and travel.

Our Benefits Advisor is here for anyone with cancer and their carers, to help you find out which benefits and other forms of practical help, like parking permits, you're entitled to.

They can even help you to navigate the processes and fill out the necessary forms.

Drop into the Centre on Wednesday and Thursday between 11am and 1pm to see our Benefits Advisor, or call and book an appointment.

Join us at Maggie’s for our radiotherapy information evening.

The evening will include:

  • Opportunity to meet Radiotherapists and ask questions
  • A tour of the radiotherapy department
  • Demonstration of a treatment machine and how it works
  • 3D representation of a treatment plan
