Our yoga sessions offer the opportunity for gentle restorative exercise and stretching to help build general fitness and resilience. No previous experience is necessary and equipment is provided.

You will be registered for a three month course of weekly classes, followed by a catch-up with a Cancer Support Specialist to support you in continuing yoga beyond Maggie's. 

Wear casual comfy clothing.

This group is run in conjunction with the Chinese Cancer Association. It provides an opportunity for Chinese speaking individuals to talk to others in a similar situation to themselves, and to help each other understand the impact of a cancer diagnosis.

Nordic Walking is a great way for people to get their entire body moving and it helps to improve overall fitness. It is particularly good for upper body strength.

With the Thames Path so close to the Centre our Nordic Walkers head there for the hour-long class. Walkers have found it a really enjoyable experience, both for health and wellbeing but also as an informal peer support session.

The expressive art  group offers a way to  explore your feelings – particularly those which can be difficult to put into words – no skill  in art or experience is required.

Concentrating on creating art can help you slow down, relax and process your thoughts. Your unconscious mind can express feelings through pictures, colours and shapes that you might struggle to put into words. And by doing that you may begin to understand more what you’re feeling, which can help to build your confidence.

Our Men at Maggie’s group gives you a range of opportunities to connect with other men who are in a similar situation to you. 

You'll attend an hour of exercise at the Charing Cross Hospital gym, working with a personal trainer to benefit from tailored exercise advice to suit all fitness levels. Group members are invited to sit down to lunch together. You might learn from those a little way ahead of you in their journey and develop your own strategies for coping.

You are also invited to join a relaxation session before heading out for the weekend.

At Maggie’s you can speak to a specialist Benefits Advisor to get advice on receiving all the benefits you are entitled to.

If you, or someone you care for, is living with cancer, our Benefits Advisors can help you complete forms and also access any additional support that you might be eligible for, such as parking permits.

We know that living with cancer can have a real impact on your finances, through lost income and increased costs such as heating and travel. Our Benefits Advisors are here to help you understand which benefits are available to you and to help with the application process.

A support group for women affected by gyane cancer before, during or after treatment.

The group offers an opportunity to talk to other people who are in a similar situation to you, and to share experiences. it offer a safe space to express emotions you might not want to share with your friends and family. You might learn from those a little way ahead of you in their journey and develop your own strategies for coping.

Support Groups are led by a Cancer Support Specialist and focus on the emotional impact of cancer.
