Please get in touch with the Centre to find out more about these sessions – such as how long they run for and what you can expect from them. Some sessions will need to be pre-booked. To do so, please call or visit and our Centre staff can help you choose the best place to get started.

Our yoga sessions offer the opportunity for gentle restorative exercise and stretching to help build general fitness and resilience. No previous experience is necessary and equipment is provided.

Wear casual comfy clothing.

You will be registered for a three month course of weekly classes. 

The first course begins on 15th Febuary. Places are limited, please register you interest.

This group is run in conjunction with the Chinese Cancer Association. It provides an opportunity for Chinese-speaking individuals to talk to others in a similar situation to themselves, and to help each other understand the impact of a cancer diagnosis.

A support group for those living with advanced or secondary cancer. It offers a safe environment to disuss feelings and experiences with others in similar circumstances.

This group is facilitated by a psychologist.

Nordic Walking is a great way for people to get their entire body moving and it helps to improve overall fitness. It is particularly good for upper body strength.

With the Thames Path so close to the Centre our Nordic Walkers head there for the hour-long class. Walkers have found it a really enjoyable experience, both for health and wellbeing but also as an informal peer support session.

Our Men at Maggie’s group gives you a range of opportunities to connect with other men who are in a similar situation to you. 

You'll attend an hour of exercise at the Charing Cross Hospital gym, working with a personal trainer to benefit from tailored exercise advice to suit all fitness levels. Group members are invited to sit down to lunch together. You might learn from those a little way ahead of you in their journey and develop your own strategies for coping.

You are also invited to join a relaxation session before heading out for the weekend.

Yoga offers a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, combining mind (focus and attention), energy (breathing practices) and body (movement and postures).

The practice of yoga exercises can help to stretch and flex the body, develop breath awareness, relaxation and sometimes meditation.

Our yoga sessions offer the opportunity for gentle restorative exercise and stretching to help build general fitness and resilience. You don't need any previous experience and we'll provide the yoga mats.

Evidence shows that exercise offers many benefits, from reducing fatigue and improving your wellness and physical fitness, to building your confidence during and after cancer treatment. 

Places are limited on this yoga course, so please call the Centre to register you interest in this three-month course.

And wear casual comfy clothing that won't hinder your movement.
